About the role
- Senior Product Manager leading data platform strategy for fintech company Satispay. Driving data governance, analytics, and infrastructure collaboration to enable scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Data Platform Strategy: Define and execute the roadmap for core data infrastructure, ensuring scalability for our growing analytics, machine learning, and operational needs.
- Manage Core Integrations & Infrastructure: Oversee the product lifecycle for critical backend services and internal tools that serve as the backbone of our microservices architecture.
- Architectural Partnership: Collaborate closely with Engineers to make high-stakes technical decisions (e.g., build vs. buy, real-time vs. batch, sync vs. async).
- Champion infrastructure that empowers Data Science, such as Feature Stores for real-time model inference and robust model monitoring pipelines.
- Spearhead initiatives like the Semantic Layer and Data Catalog to democratize data access and ensure consistent business definitions across the company.
- Ensure data privacy, regulatory compliance, and high availability are built into the platform's core, managing risks for both data assets and transactional integrations.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or Solution Architect is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of:
- Data Stack: Cloud Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ETL/ELT, and orchestration.
- Backend Systems: Microservices architecture, API integrations (REST/gRPC), and high-volume transactional systems (payments/notifications).
- Ability to discuss trade-offs in architecture, scalability, and maintenance with technical leads.
- Experience translating abstract business goals into concrete technical roadmaps for both data and platform products.
- Ability to speak "Engineer" with the technical teams and "Business" with stakeholders in Product, Finance, and Operations.
- Fluency in English is essential for effective team communication.
