About the role

  • Public Policy Manager supporting the implementation of public affairs strategy for Satispay. Involves policy analysis, advocacy, and engagement with EU institutions in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the operational planning and execution of Satispay’s public affairs and government relations strategy.
  • Analyze and report on key legislative and regulatory developments impacting the FinTech sector at the national (Italy) and EU levels.
  • Work with the team in implementing targeted strategies to effectively advocate for Satispay’s interests and positions with policymakers, industry stakeholders, representative associations.
  • Provide in-depth analysis and strategic perspective in contributions to position papers, policy notes, public consultations.
  • A general knowledge of European political mechanisms, including EU co-decision procedures is required, in order to strategically engage with institutions and representative associations in Brussels.
  • Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, characterized by constant evolution and the necessity for quick, yet coherent adaptation of public policy strategies.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Public Affairs, Government Relations, or Regulatory Affairs in Italy.
  • Previous experience working within the FinTech industry (either in-house or as an account manager for FinTech clients at a Public Policy/Consulting firm) is a significant plus.
  • Very strong and proven knowledge of national political dynamics and mechanisms in Italy.
  • Extensive experience with European political dynamics and institutions will be considered a strong nice to have.
  • Deep understanding of national parliamentary procedures and European co-decision procedures.
  • Knowledge of legislative drafting.
  • Demonstrated track record in successfully implementing strategic advocacy and public affairs campaigns.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to work and adapt effectively in a fast-paced, challenging, and constantly evolving business environment.
