About the role

  • Platform Software Engineer in DevOps & Cloud at Sartorius developing data analytics solutions. Collaborating in a hybrid environment to design cloud-native applications and improve user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Product Owner and teammates to understand streamlined teams pain points and deliver pragmatic, high-impact solutions
  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native microservices on Azure with Kubernetes
  • Develop resilient, event-driven capabilities using Kafka
  • Build backend services with Java and Spring Boot
  • Create microfrontends using React, TypeScript, and Lit web components
  • Embed DevSecOps practices end-to-end, security-by-design, automated testing, CI/CD, container security, and observability
  • Work in an agile DevOps environment contributing to iterative development, technical discovery, and continuous improvement
  • Champion a service mindset, great communication, documentation, and developer experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD or equivalent in a scientific field
  • Hands-on experience in one or many areas: Java + Spring Boot, Python, Rust, Scala/Zio (REST, configuration, testing)
  • React + TypeScript and Lit (web components) for microfrontends
  • Microservices and microfrontend architecture
  • Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting)
  • Kafka (event streaming, consumer/producer patterns)
  • Azure (e.g., AKS, networking, storage, identity)
  • Databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, QuestDB)
  • Experience operating in a DevSecOps culture (CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, SAST/DAST, secrets and container hardening)
  • Experience in observability (logs/metrics/traces) and reliability tooling
  • Experience in API design and governance; contract testing
  • Experience enabling internal platform capabilities or developer experience tooling
  • Fluent in English and Swedish
