About the role

  • Industrial Engineer with expertise in ergonomics for assessing workstations and reducing risks. Collaborating with teams to implement solutions for safety and productivity improvements in Salinas Victoria.

Responsibilities

  • Support different teams in the evaluation of existing/future workstation regarding ergonomic risks
  • Evaluate Workstations/Operations based on Ergonomic Risks Assessments
  • Recommend corrective actions, and lead teams to completion as needed
  • Meet Program Deliverables on time and schedule
  • Provide regular (daily, weekly, etc.) Tracking Status to the designated Team Leader
  • Attend designated meetings to provide status reports
  • Accomplish the department objectives addressed by the client using problem solving techniques
  • Capture and register for all tryouts, runoffs, and quality impacts for the project implementations and engineering updates/upgrades
  • Manage within master timing charts, with corrective actions and recovery plans identified where needed
  • Support and follow up of open issues
  • Design of new workstations
  • Creation and edition of operator instructions sheets
  • Evaluate workstations based on safety risk
  • Evaluate workstations based on quality requirements
  • Creation and edition of time study workstations to meet the workload
  • Edition of process sheets for the process (elements, parts, tools, and variation codes)
  • Allocation of process sheets through workstations/operations
  • Accomplish the department objectives addressed by the client using problem solving technique.
  • Conduct physical demands analyses, ergonomic risk analyses on single jobs, production lines, or entire plants
  • Perform ergonomic assessments using standard ergonomic analysis tools and/or using Digital Human Modeling software and complete detailed technical reports
  • Provide assembly plant ergonomic support to identify and prioritize ergonomic risks, conduct ergonomic risk assessments and provide recommendations on elimination of risk.
  • Perform virtual assessment of Ergonomic risk utilizing such software systems as Teamcenter, Process Simulate, and/or Jack, and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Develop ergonomic specifications and standards through literature review, research, and ergonomic analysis

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Kinesiology, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors, Occupational Biomechanics, Ergonomics or a related discipline
  • Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP), Associate Ergonomist (AE) certification, or Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) is an asset
  • Minimum of +2 years of industrial ergonomics or a passion to learn and grow in the industry
  • Experience in applying ergo industries
  • Fluent- written and spoken technical English language
