- Experienced Web Developer responsible for platform development at apm. Overseeing and implementing strategies for the apm.de online platform.
Responsibilities
- Technical overall responsibility for the apm.de platform, from conception through implementation to operation
- Design, integration and further development of interfaces (REST APIs) to internal systems and external service providers
- Implementation of attractive, functional and high-performance user interfaces based on HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and JavaScript
- Requirements gathering and coordination with internal stakeholders and translation into technical concepts, user stories and realistic roadmaps
- Evaluation and co-design of the future system architecture: further development of the existing WordPress stack or planning and implementation of possible alternatives
- Maintain a focus on web performance, accessibility (a11y), SEO and usability, and contribute your own ideas for improvements
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in web development
- Strong knowledge of PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with WordPress and developing custom themes and plugins
- Experience using tools such as Docker, Composer, Yarn and Webpack
- Familiarity with the Git version control system
- Confident working with Linux-based web servers and classic LAMP stacks
- Knowledge of data-driven JavaScript frameworks (Vue or similar) is desirable
- Good written and spoken English and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly
- Good written and spoken German (C1 level)
- Structured, self-directed working style and enthusiasm for clean, maintainable code
