About the role
- Junior React Engineer contributing to the Next.js frontend of Forcepoint's cloud-native security platform. Building responsive, accessible interfaces and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a design-forward environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reusable React components and UI features within our Next.js frontend.
- Translate UI/UX designs from Figma into responsive, accessible, performant interfaces.
- Implement styling using SCSS, CSS modules, or styled libraries.
- Work closely with senior engineers to understand and follow architectural patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and backend engineers to implement new functionality.
- Write clean, well-structured code.
- Assist in optimizing performance metrics (LCP, INP, CLS) and understanding frontend performance fundamentals.
- Support A/B testing and experiment setup using VWO.
- Assist with bug fixing, debugging, QA, and frontend maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of professional experience with React
- Strong foundational knowledge of React and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Familiarity with Next.js or similar frameworks
- Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive layouts, and modern styling approaches
- Basic understanding of API consumption (GraphQL or REST)
- Experience with Git and collaborative version control
- Understanding of accessibility principles and performance basics
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience
