About the role

  • IT-Financial Manager managing IT costs and budgets at Salzgitter AG. Collaborating with multiple departments to ensure transparency and efficient cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Introduction and further development of group-wide processes and methods for capturing, monitoring, and managing IT costs and budgets
  • Coordination of planning and budgeting processes for IT expenditures between group companies, the holding company, and Salzgitter Digital Solutions GmbH, with particular consideration of central initiatives
  • Regular collection of group-wide IT costs and preparation of reports on fund utilization
  • Creating transparency around IT service-related costs and regularly measuring their development to enable service-related benchmarking
  • Harmonization and simplification of charging processes for group-wide IT services and projects, including their consideration in the planning process
  • Commercial support of IT projects and preparation or review of cost-benefit analyses (business cases) for IT investments and projects in close cooperation with business units and Salzgitter Digital Solutions GmbH
  • Establishment and further development of effective processes for budgeting and group-wide cost monitoring together with group controlling and the business units
  • Development and measurement of relevant KPIs to assess the value contribution of IT investments

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the IT environment, ideally with a focus on IT cost management or controlling
  • Structured and analytical way of working
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent SAP skills (FI/CO) as well as excellent knowledge of MS Office applications
