About the role

  • Investment Analyst focused on mid-cap equity securities in the U.S. Industrials sector, developing investment ideas and recommendations for growth portfolios. Collaborating with a team on economic cycles and industry analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and develop investment ideas and recommendations for the Heritage and MID portfolios
  • Understand how the Industrials sector interacts with various macro forces and be able to navigate the team through economic cycles
  • Seek out durable growth franchises as well as innovative companies with outstanding technologies and business models
  • Internalize and implement American Century's disciplined investment process
  • Prepare research templates and earnings models as a framework for communicating an investment thesis

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of buy-side, fundamental research experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience covering the Industrial sector globally
  • Highly motivated, intellectually curious individual possessing a combination of strong quantitative skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of the research team
  • Self-starter with ability to determine priorities, plan, organize, and follow-through on assignments
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • MBA or equivalent experience required
  • CFA preferred
