About the role
- AI Governance & Enablement Intern supporting the Enterprise AI Program at Sally Beauty Holdings. Responsible for organizing and operationalizing AI use across the company with cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Support AI intake and governance processes by helping track AI use cases, owners, approvals, risks, and status across the enterprise.
- Assist with documenting AI standards, guardrails, FAQs, and internal guidance in clear, business-friendly language.
- Help prepare dashboards, summaries, and simple reporting on AI adoption, usage, and value for leadership updates.
- Conduct research on emerging enterprise AI capabilities, risks, and best practices, summarizing findings for the AI Program Manager.
- Support coordination of AI working sessions, workshops, and training efforts, including notes, follow-ups, and action tracking.
- Use approved generative AI tools to accelerate documentation, analysis, and prototype workflows, capturing reusable prompts and patterns.
- Prepare a final presentation to senior leadership highlighting contributions, insights, and recommendations from the internship.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex or technical topics for a business audience.
- Comfort working with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools; experience with dashboards, documentation tools, or basic analytics is a plus.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, similar) and interest in how they are applied responsibly in business.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance and structure.
