Responsibilities
Plan and direct activities to build, support & grow Data Security and Network Services for GCP
Enhance developer productivity through AI
Drive execution and delivery of features by collaborating with multifunctional teams, architects, product owners, and engineers
Make critical decisions that contribute to the success of the product
Empower the delivery team to self-prioritize
Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
Maintain high morale and motivate the delivery team to go above and beyond
Advocate for technical excellence
Participate in architecture discussions and planning
Maintain and encourage company culture by interviewing and hiring qualified individuals
Occasionally chip in on development tasks such as coding and feature verifications
Requirements
10+ years of industry experience
3+ years in a people leadership role managing successful software engineering teams
Awareness of Network Security services such as DDoS, EGress, DNS, CDN, and Networking fundamentals
Proven ability to manage stakeholders and relationships within a highly matrixed organizational structure
Proficiency in software development methodologies, technologies, and tools
Strong experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Strong knowledge of infrastructure and automation
Experience and passion for service ownership, building reliable, self-healing services
Experience with Scrum or other agile development methodologies
Good programming background, ideally with experience in Go (Golang), Python, Java
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Proven ability to navigate team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and facilitate career development discussions
