About the role
- Proactive attorney supporting the integration of Informatica’s AI-powered cloud solutions. Partnering with cross-functional teams to navigate legal challenges in product development and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to product and engineering teams on the Informatica suite
- Conduct deep-dive legal reviews of new features to ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific regulations (HIPAA, FedRAMP)
- Provide legal guidance for the use of machine learning and generative AI within data integration workflows
- Partner with M&A integration teams to harmonize contracting processes, terms and conditions, and legal frameworks
- Partner with Commercial Legal and Privacy teams to draft and negotiate complex product-specific terms, Data Processing Addendums, partner agreements, and terms of service
- Monitor and advise on global legal developments affecting data integrators and SaaS providers
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree and active membership in at least one US state bar
- 5+ years (Corporate Counsel) or 10+ years (Senior Corporate Counsel) of combined experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
- Deep understanding of AI, data privacy and security laws (EU AI Act, GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Familiarity with AI/ML legal and ethical considerations, including emerging AI regulations
- Comfort discussing complex technical architectures, APIs, etc.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent business judgment and the proven ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice in fast-paced environments
- Proven ability to build relationships across Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to drive consensus on high-stakes risks.
