About the role

  • Corporate Counsel at T-Mobile representing the company on employment and labor-related legal matters. Handling day-to-day legal counseling and managing employment litigation and compliance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical, day-to-day, employment-law counseling to HR and other internal clients
  • Engage and work with outside counsel to manage employment litigation
  • Prepare responses to agency charges and demand letters
  • Develop and review written HR policies, guidelines, templates, and forms
  • Develop and deliver legal training to HR and other internal clients
  • Provide employment law advice regarding internal investigations
  • Advise clients on compliance issues
  • Counsel clients on a variety of complex and developing employment-related legal and business issues

Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of experience as an employment attorney
  • Minimum 4 years, prefer 6+ years, of experience handling litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and other employment-related claims
  • Prefer some exposure to international employment law, labor relations, or ERISA
  • Ability to work independently and effectively despite ambiguity and rapid change
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Amazing oral communication skills
  • Strong judgement
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other legal and business professionals
  • Keen business sense with negotiation and drafting skills
  • Ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines, and balance multiple priorities
  • Must be licensed, in good standing, to practice law in the US
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
