About the role

  • Gerente de Contabilidade Geral na Sabesp, responsável por supervisão contábil e gestão de equipe. Atuação na elaboração de demonstrações financeiras e conformidade contábil.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of accounting balances in accordance with applicable standards (CPCs and IFRSs).
  • Supervise and manage daily general accounting activities.
  • Prepare, review and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, including the balance sheet, statement of changes in equity, income statement (DRE), statement of value added (DVA) and statement of cash flows (DFC).
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes, ensuring compliance with established deadlines.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to provide strategic support to senior management in decision-making.
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring the delivery of accurate and complete information to auditors.
  • Oversee and develop the accounting team, promoting a high-performance, engaged work environment.
  • Monitor loan, financing and derivative contracts, ensuring correct accounting and compliance with financial obligations.
  • Collaborate with other company areas, such as treasury, regulatory, procurement and tax, to ensure integrated processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Active CRC (Regional Accounting Council) registration is required.
  • Proven experience in leadership positions in accounting, covering the processes mentioned above.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting standards (CPCs and IFRSs).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP).
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with analytical tools.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and other presentation tools.
  • Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in financial statement analysis.
  • Experience with internal and external audits.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced English.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of SOx controls.
  • Experience in companies in the electric sector or other public utility concession companies will be considered a plus.
