About the role

  • Data Analyst supporting financial decision-making through BI solutions at Sabesp. Focused on creating reliable analytical data platforms and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional analyses and support the definition of key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and business rules, ensuring alignment between technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Structure, model, and maintain analytical datasets, ensuring consistency, performance, and reusability of information.
  • Develop, enhance, and validate management and executive reports and dashboards, ensuring clarity, reliability, and adherence to corporate guidelines.
  • Work hands-on in integrating and processing data from multiple sources (Oracle, manual files, and automated processes), ensuring data quality and traceability.
  • Support the evolution of the analytics platform using technologies such as Azure, GCP, and Databricks, focusing on analytical consumption, scalability, and BI best practices.
  • Define, implement, and monitor data quality and governance controls, including technical and functional validations, acting as the focal point for financial information reliability.
  • Ensure the integrity, consistency, and auditability of data used in analyses, reports, and executive presentations.
  • Support the automation and scheduling of data refresh routines using orchestrators (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Airflow), ensuring operational stability.
  • Apply code versioning practices (e.g., Git) for control and collaboration on data projects.
  • Actively contribute to defining standards, analytical architecture, best practices, and technical direction, supporting the maturity of the BI function.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in functional requirements analysis, with a solid understanding of financial processes and business indicators.
  • Experience structuring, modeling, and maintaining analytical databases and datasets for BI consumption, preferably in environments using Databricks.
  • Experience integrating, processing, and consolidating data from legacy environments such as Oracle (PL/SQL), flat files, and semi-automated processes.
  • Experience with data quality applied to BI, including:
  • • Business rule validations and financial consistency
  • • Completeness, integrity, and compliance controls for data
  • Previous experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data projects in corporate environments, with frequent interaction with business areas.
  • Experience developing and maintaining dashboards, management reports, and KPIs using Power BI.
  • Experience using data orchestrators for updating and automating analytical routines, as well as versioning practices for BI artifacts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, transformation, and validation, and knowledge of Python applied to analytical routines and automations.
  • Mandatory experience with cloud data platforms (Azure and/or GCP) and Databricks, focusing on analytical consumption, Data Lake, and Delta Lake.
  • Knowledge of analytical data modeling (facts, dimensions, metrics, and KPIs) and integrating multiple data sources.
  • Experience with data governance practices, information quality, and traceability of data used in reports and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and collaborative work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Certifications in Power BI, Azure, GCP, or Databricks will be considered a plus.
  • Good communication skills, strong analytical ability, autonomy, and ability to interact with technical and business stakeholders.
