About the role

• IT Project Manager managing software implementation projects for Sabenza IT & Recruitment in Stellenbosch. Responsible for project planning, execution, and client communication to achieve successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and finalize software implementation projects according to defined scope, budget, timelines, and technical requirements.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that outline deliverables, resources, and schedules.
• Manage and coordinate the efforts of all project stakeholders, including internal teams, third-party vendors, and clients.
• Define clear project objectives and ensure alignment with business and client goals.
• Oversee and maintain quality control throughout all phases of the project life cycle.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on course.
• Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders to ensure transparency and collaboration.
• Promote a collaborative and solution-oriented environment where ideas and best practices are shared.
• Ensure project documentation, reporting, and governance requirements are met.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are managed and project outcomes are achieved.
• Work both independently and within a team structure to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Project Management qualification or certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile, etc.)
• 5+ years’ experience managing IT or technology projects
• Proven track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder software implementations
• Solid understanding of project management tools (MS Projects, Jira, etc.)
• Knowledge of methodologies like Agile, Prince2, PMBOK, or MS Solutions Framework
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you build trust and collaboration naturally
• Experience in the Insurance or InsurTech industry is a definite plus.
