About the role

  • National Sales Manager working with sales leadership to develop growth business in assigned territory. Analyzing profitability and educating prospects on Ryder's services.

Responsibilities

  • work in conjunction with the Regional, Local, and National sales leadership teams to develop new growth business within their assigned sales territory.
  • analyze profitability of prospects, specifically for prospects that are On-Site Maintenance opportunities.
  • educate and develop the prospects' value proposition of Ryder's services.
  • help our sales team analyze profitability of prospects and fully understand the competitive influences and risks with each account.
  • develop lead generation and initial prospect vetting for profitable growth business.
  • meet or exceed assigned quotas for revenue and new accounts.
  • successfully transition new business to the account relationship team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in in business, transportation or equivalent field.
  • 5 years or more in demonstrated operational and/or sales excellence with customer facing roles.
  • 5 years or more in at the Ryder BU level or similar.
  • Good understanding of maintenance/operations. Beginner.
  • Good understanding of Ryder Sales Process. Intermediate.
  • PC Skills, including Microsoft Office. Intermediate.
  • Knowledge of industry leaders, terms, policies, and On-site structures. Intermediate.
