About the role
- ECM Consultant conducting exemption certificate management for clients using ControlPoint software. Responsibilities include validation, storage, reporting, and providing client consultations.
Responsibilities
- Perform sales and use tax exemption certificate collection, validation, storage, and reporting for Ryan clients
- Exercise regular discretion and independent judgement based on familiarity with multistate sales and use tax exemption certificate laws
- Consult and advise clients on exemption certificate requirements and necessary remediation steps
- Utilize ControlPoint software for retrieval and evaluation of exemption certificates
- Ensure effective onboard process for new exemption certificate outsource clients
- Develop and implement continuous process improvements regarding exemption certificate collections, validations and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Up to 3 years of government compliance experience
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, 10 years of experience with government compliance related matters
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft® Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint, Outlook; and Internet navigation and research
- Valid driver’s license required
