Responsibilities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and develop secure Voice and Networking communication products, including System on Chip (SoC)/System on Module (SoM), microcontrollers, and FPGA-based systems.
Lead the development and documentation of electronics packaging designs, schematic capture, and hardware requirements.
Create and maintain procurement documentation, including Source Control Drawings (SCD), Interface Control Documents (ICD), and Top-Level Kit Drawings.
Author and manage System Hardware Requirement Specifications (SHRS) to ensure compliance with program requirements.
Facilitate and conduct Preliminary Engineering Review Process (PREP) reviews to ensure design integrity and alignment with program objectives.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure products meet both military and potential dual-use commercial applications.
Support the development of technical solutions and provide guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
U.S. citizenship is required.
Experience in electrical design and development, with a focus on secure communication systems or similar technologies.
Proficiency in schematic capture, electronics packaging, and hardware design.
Strong understanding of microcontrollers, FPGA, and SoC/SoM architectures.
Experience in creating technical documentation, such as SCDs, ICDs, and hardware requirement specifications.
Experience with military communication systems or dual-use technologies.
Familiarity with aircraft-certified end instruments or related systems.
Knowledge of voice and networking communication standards.
