About the role
- Mechanical Engineer responsible for the development and construction of customized machines at Otto Graf GmbH. Involves the entire lifecycle from conception to commissioning while collaborating with external partners.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the mechanical development and design of our special/custom machines
- Support the entire lifecycle of machines from concept through development, assembly, acceptance testing to commissioning
- Preparation of specifications, requests for quotations and technical documentation
- Training of operators and maintenance teams after commissioning
- Identifying improvement potential and designing further development of mechanical components
- Operational leadership of small technical teams within project work
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification
- Several years of professional experience in special machine construction
- Solid knowledge of 3D design and confident use of CAD systems (ideally Creo)
- Confident communication in German and English; French skills are an advantage
- Strong technical analysis skills, logical thinking and a proactive approach
- Willingness to travel for approximately eight one-week assignments per year
