- Mechanical Design Engineer focusing on design, development, and management of Aerospace & Defense propulsion systems. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet complex operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, aero, electrical, and systems engineers, to develop technical solutions and integrated systems.
- Perform design, analysis, system integration, and validation testing for power and propulsion systems products, including turbomachinery, compressors, generators, marine outboard engines, motors, and propulsors.
- Develop technical specifications, system requirements, and design documentation in accordance with Aerospace & Defense standards.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to track progress, resolve issues, and communicate project status.
- Support prototype fabrication, instrumentation, testing, and qualification activities.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain strict adherence to industry regulations, military standards, and company quality processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
- 3+ years of engineering experience, preferably in Aerospace & Defense Industry.
- Experience managing engineering projects from concept through delivery.
- Strong technical knowledge in thermal systems, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, or mechanical systems design.
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods, such as casting, forging, stamping, welding, CNC machining, EDM, and additive manufacturing
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, or equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required (due to DoD contract requirements).
