About the role
- Engineer I creating models and technical drawings for aerospace engineering at Pratt & Whitney. Collaborating on structural analysis and presenting designs in review meetings.
Responsibilities
- Create assembly and disassembly equipment models and technical drawings using NX CAD software
- Apply engineering mechanics statics and strength of materials knowledge to perform structural analysis
- Create finite element models (FEM) and perform structural analysis (FEA) using Ansys Workbench
- Present in design review meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial or Civil Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- CAD drawing and modeling knowledge
- Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with structural Finite Element Analysis
- Application of strength of materials theories and concepts including axial, shear, bending, torsion and combined stresses
- Familiar with traditional (predictive) and/or Agile (adaptive) project management tools & techniques
