About the role

  • Talent Development Manager overseeing employee engagement and development at a fast-growing hospitality SaaS firm. Shaping clear career pathways and enhancing internal mobility for staff.

Responsibilities

  • Owning and evolving RoomRaccoon’s career framework, growth tracks, and job mapping, ensuring clarity, fairness, and consistency across the organisation.
  • Ensuring we have structured leadership pipelines, high-potential programs and succession reviews.
  • Acting as a credible career partner and coach to employees, supporting structured career conversations and high-quality Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
  • Enabling managers to drive progression, feedback, and capability building within their teams through training, coaching, and hands-on support.
  • Partnership with senior leadership in shaping company-wide capability roadmaps, not just for the now but for the future needs of the business too.
  • Designing and delivering development initiatives that build individual, team, and organisational capability aligned to business needs which is clearly outlined in an annual training calendar that drives voluntary participation.
  • Full ownership of our internal training programme, which links employees to development material to advance within their current role as well as to advance beyond that, keeping all material relevant and updated in our RaccoonLearn Platform, ensuring its easily visible and accessible for all employees across our different knowledge resources (Guru / Dash), and updating individual records accurately when courses are completed.
  • Actively driving internal mobility by identifying talent readiness, development gaps, and succession opportunities.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with People, Talent Acquisition, Leadership, and functional managers.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by beating yesterday in how you bring innovative ideas to develop, grow, and retain our people, leading change with managers and teams — not just delivering programs.
  • Pro-actively develop and share analytics dashboards framing this role around measurable impact — not just activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in talent development, people development, or career coaching.
  • A strong understanding of career frameworks, learning design, and development methodologies.
  • Experience with instructional design frameworks and adult learning principles.
  • The ability to work independently, take ownership, and influence without authority.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving SaaS or scale-up environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organisational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Comfortable working across multiple interlinked systems and programmes to deliver a seamless end user learning & development experience.
  • Actively makes use of AI to drive efficiency in the role and uses AI by default to level up outputs.
  • Background in psychology, learning sciences, or didactics (nice-to-have).
  • Certification in career coaching or leadership development (nice-to-have).
  • Experience working in a scale-up or high-growth organisation (nice-to-have).
  • Experience partnering closely with managers on performance and progression (nice-to-have).
