About the role
- Investment Associate supporting M&A and fundraising processes at Roemer Capital. Analyzing market data and creating financial models in a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Support on investment and fundraising projects — from initial analysis through to successful closing
- Prepare financial models, business plans and investor presentations to assess business models and investment opportunities
- Conduct market, competitive and company analyses to identify trends and investment prospects
- Prepare for and participate in client meetings, pitches and investor discussions
- Assist on M&A transactions, including company valuation, due diligence and deal structuring
- Draft decision papers and research reports for management and investors
- Continuously monitor capital markets and relevant industry developments
Requirements
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline
- Initial practical experience in investment banking, corporate finance, venture capital, private equity or consulting is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and confident use of financial models and common tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint; optionally PitchBook/Capital IQ/Mergermarket/Crunchbase)
- High interest in entrepreneurship, capital markets and strategic corporate development
- Structured, precise and independent working style — also under time pressure
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Team player, self-initiative and willingness to take responsibility in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
