About the role
- Senior Process Engineer at Rockwell Automation providing PlantPAx® process solutions in a hybrid role. Supporting industry project delivery teams with process industry and product application expertise.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lifecycle Services Commercial Proposal Team providing system design direction, engineering review and oversight for proposed opportunities
- Provide PlantPAx® DCS and FactoryTalk® Batch competency throughout the Lifecycle Service Process Delivery business unit.
- Provide feedback on current released product as well as understanding product roadmaps to ensure the delivery teams are prepared for upcoming product releases.
- Provide on-site support for application issues at start-up, as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline

- Experience with Rockwell Automation products and software tools, or equivalent industrial automation products
- Experience in the design of industrial automation control systems and/or related application experience
- 5+ years experience programming process control and DCS systems for Specialty Chemical, Pulp and Paper, Life Science, Food and Beverage, Water/Wastewater and/or Mining process systems as well as DCS conversion experience with major process architectures (Honeywell, Emerson, ABB etc.).
- Experience as a subject matter expert in Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk® Batch application design.
- Knowledge of the ISA S88 Batch Controls Standard, ISA 18.2 alarm Management, ISA 101 High-Definition Grey Scale Graphics, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Burner Management Systems (BMS).
- Possesses application/technical knowledge relevant to industrial process control systems.
- Extensive Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture product and system design knowledge – Controllers, I/O platforms, Operator Interface, IS software etc.
- Subject matter expert in Rockwell Automation PlantPAx® DCS platform.
- Experience converting third party DCS systems to Rockwell Automation PlantPAx® DCS.
