About the role

  • Software Product Manager intern at Ricoh, focusing on modern microservices and customer-driven product value. Engaging with teams to deliver data-driven software solutions in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Get a firsthand look at how traditional print software has evolved into a modern microservices based, serverless, software as a service business model.
  • Define market requirements and work with engineering to deliver a solution with a focus on Data Analytics, Dashboards, IoT, and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Learn how to turn product capabilities into customer value by understanding the customer, the marketplace, Ricoh’s software portfolio, and the competitive landscape.
  • Support for production print areas of the market.
  • Observe the value of becoming a product and market evangelist.
  • Engage with the sales team to educate them about your project and how you’ve solved their customer’s problems.
  • Help define the product management requirements in a way that our SaaS software engineering team can effectively solve the customer’s problem.
  • Follow the progress of the project as it progresses through an Agile scrum-based development process.

Requirements

  • Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Students should be pursuing a degree in a related major in the department of interest and possess some former work or internship experience.
  • Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Students are to successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire.
  • University undergraduate degree in marketing, business, computer science or engineering.
  • MBA preferred.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
  • Pragmatic Marketing certification preferred.
  • Software Product Management experience and/or coursework.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and product demonstration skills.
  • Strong communicator with collaborative, cross-organizational teaming skills.
  • An understanding of Agile Scrum development methodology.
  • Background taking new software technologies to market and successful commercialization.
  • AWS, AI, ML, Data Analytics, and IoT experience preferred.
