About the role

Responsibilities
- Analyze, review and approve complex tax reports, supporting senior management in strategic decision-making
- Prepare and review the most complex tax reports to support decision-making
- Conduct advanced analyses of case law and applicable tax legislation
- Ensure the collection and organization of documents required to support tax processes and to respond to tax audits
- Perform cross-checks and reconciliations of tax information and propose process improvements
- Participate in strategic tax projects and provide insights to the team
- Support external audits, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
- Implement and monitor tax compliance across all South America operations
- Keep up to date with municipal, state and federal tax legislation, proposing necessary adjustments to mitigate tax risks and optimize the company’s tax position
- Develop strategic tax planning for South America, with a focus on direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing and tax litigation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration or related fields
- Experience with tax routines and operations
- Knowledge of taxes
- Awareness of the tax reform
- Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP
- Knowledge of tax legislation and ancillary tax obligations
- Proficiency in issuing and recording invoices
- Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel)
