About the role
- Senior Editorial Manager coordinating journal publications and supporting the development of prestigious scientific titles at Elsevier. Engaging with leading researchers and managing publication processes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating the publication of journals and ensuring timely delivery of issues
- Serving as the primary point of contact for Authors/Editors/Publishers, ensuring that the journals are running smoothly and efficiently
- Identifying high-impact topics for themed issues and then recruiting leading scientists to serve as Section Editors, in line with agreements and policies as set by the Publisher
- Providing administrative and analytical support to the journals
Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree in arts or science, a M.Sc/MA is a plus but not required.
- Have an understanding of scientific publishing and peer review
- Have excellent communication skills and excellent written and spoken English
- Have excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, analytical and proactive, focus, and achieve desired goals
