Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, quality assurance, and performance optimization of Rekor’s intelligent roadway systems
- Ensure customers receive reliable, high-quality data and scalable technical solutions
- Guide field engineering, technical architecture, and system validation activities
- Oversee specialized field technicians responsible for installations, including advanced solutions such as Virtual Weigh-In-Motion (WIM)
- Manage Technical Architects in designing innovative, scalable solutions for bids, proposals, and customer deployments
- Drive rapid response and root cause resolution when system performance or data quality issues arise
- Ensure technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation meet engineering and operational standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Typically 5–8+ years in systems engineering, field engineering, or technical leadership roles
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, field technicians, and solution architects
- Customer focus, problem solving, accountability, collaboration, adaptability, and strategic thinking
- Systems engineering & deployment oversight
- QA/QC & performance validation
- Intelligent transportation systems (ITS)
