Responsibilities
- Support the development and advancement of the Safety, Health and Environment culture by assisting with the implementation of procedures, processes, tools and best practices
- Support the maintenance of the Integrated Management Systems (Environment & OHS)
- Contribute to achieving EHS targets/KPIs (focus on Occupational Safety)
- Provide technical support in Occupational Safety
- Represent the company in labor expert assessments
- Evaluate the effectiveness of action plans for workplace accidents and near-misses
- Prepare and deliver training, daily safety talks (DDS) and onboarding for new employees
- Perform Preliminary Risk Analyses (APR) and issue Permit to Work (PT)
- Review documentation of service providers relating to Occupational Safety
- Conduct various Safety and Environmental inspections
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Occupational Safety Technician
- Preferably experience in consumer goods industries
- Preferably experience in companies certified to ISO 45000
- Experience in chemical industries and aerosol manufacturing is a plus
- Strong knowledge of legal requirements for Occupational Safety and Health (especially Brazilian Regulatory Standards - NRs)
- Knowledge of ISO 14000 and ISO 45000
- Familiarity with problem analysis and resolution tools for investigation and treatment of accidents, incidents, deviations and non-conformities (e.g., Pareto Chart; 5 Whys; Ishikawa; Task Force; PDCA among others)
- Knowledge of emergency response and emergency preparedness
- Hazard and occupational risk mapping; environmental aspects and impacts
- Preferable knowledge of classified areas (safe operation and maintenance)
- Knowledge of Chemical Management (especially flammables)
