Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud infrastructure and software development lifecycle.
- Build and maintain partner IPSec VPN connections, NAT, and IP routing with Teraform. Perform threat modeling and identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Configure and manage identity and access management systems to ensure the right access controls are in place.
- Perform auditing and monitoring to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Implement data loss prevention techniques to protect sensitive data.
- Analyze logs and other security-related data to identify and respond to security incidents.
- Collaborate with software development teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards for engineering teams.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years experience in a Security Operations Engineer role
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services
- Experience with threat modeling, identity and access management system configuration, auditing, and monitoring, data loss prevention techniques and implementation, and log analytics
- Network engineering experience including tcp/ip, routing, firewalls, and ipsec vpn
- Linux system administration including bash and ubuntu management
- Some coding ability in languages such as Python, Node, or Typescript
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
