About the role

  • Manager, IT Project Security leading large cybersecurity projects for Royal Caribbean Group. Ensuring delivery of strategic security programs while managing risk and compliance across environments.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross-team planning, estimation, and scope alignment for GET Security projects.
  • Lead enterprise-level prioritization and sequencing of security initiatives, escalating trade-offs and risks to executive leadership.
  • Own and manage large, multi-track cybersecurity programs, driving program governance, structure, cadence, and reporting.
  • Ensure interdependencies, risks, scope boundaries, and critical path items are visible and actively managed.
  • Track and monitor program status, risks, issues, and changes using RCG’s PPM tools (e.g., Workfront, Jira).
  • Design, build, and sustain high-performing, cross-functional delivery teams for flawless execution of enterprise security programs.
  • Own end-to-end financial management for assigned security programs, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and benefits tracking.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate program, operational, and cyber risks, supporting regulatory and framework alignment (e.g., NIST, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with technical and non-technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Lead, inspire, and empower delivery teams by setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and creating an environment for growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 5–8 years of Information Security (cyber) experience
  • 5–8 years of Information Technology experience
  • 5–8 years of experience managing small teams and projects
  • 5–8 years of experience as a people manager
  • Project / Program Management certifications (PMP, PgMP, SAFe, etc.) preferred
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills, with excellent written and verbal capabilities
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and lead effectively
  • Strong governance, financial, and delivery discipline
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure, including networks and platforms
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, highly regulated environments
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships
  • Deep and broad experience with IT environments and related technology applications
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to ramp up quickly
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and align activities with organizational goals
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with PPM tools such as Workfront or JIRA
  • Familiarity with information security frameworks (NIST, PCI DSS, ISO 27001)
  • Strong ownership mindset with accountability for project outcomes, decisions, and deliverables
  • Stewardship of security program budgets, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial tracking
  • Ability to partner with finance and leadership to ensure accurate planning, benefits realization, and cost transparency
  • Ability to forecast resource needs and ensure appropriate staffing across internal teams and vendors
