About the role

  • RBC Financial Advisor nurturing relationships with personal and small business clients. Providing professional advice and empowering clients toward their financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • As an RBC Financial Advisor, you attract, nurture, and grow relationships with clients
  • Provide proactive, professional advice and collaborate with RBC partners
  • Consistently demonstrate empathy, kindness and take the time to understand client circumstances
  • Communicate effectively to uncover client needs, deliver client centric advice and resolve concerns
  • Use own advice capabilities and partner with the right RBC ecosystem
  • Provide professional advice and education addressing complex credit and investments
  • Champion digital enablement by proactively educating clients to self-serve
  • Make good use of technology to connect with clients virtually and face to face
  • Implement effective contact and relationship building strategies for new client acquisition and retention
  • Collaborate with market-leading professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking experts

Requirements

  • Must-have: Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
  • Must-have: Designed Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation (excl. Quebec)
  • Must-have: Completed Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance (in Quebec)
  • 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
  • Candidate must be mobile to the following RBC branch locations: Bowmanville, Port Hope, and Cobourg
  • Nice-to-have: Second language skill
  • Nice-to-have: Active in developing a solid network in the local community
