About the role
- Head of Finance managing financial operations and compliance at a fintech firm in Cyprus. Leading a team and providing strategic financial insights for decision-making in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Monitor day-to-day accounting operations, journal entries, and financial reconciliations
- Oversee all bookkeeping, ledger management, and financial record-keeping
- Prepare and manage the company's budget in consultation with department heads
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making
- Work with the Operations Department to ensure proper oversight of client deposits, withdrawals, and internal transfers
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, financial reports, and regulatory returns
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets
- Collaborate with Operations and Compliance functions to ensure transparency in transaction flows and internal reporting
- Timely and accurate submission of financial statements and reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations, ideally in Dubai
- Good knowledge of budgeting, reporting, reconciliation, and financial controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage projects in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
