About the role

  • Business Analyst at RapidRatings, bridging product and engineering for better supplier risk management. Collaborating on requirements, user stories, and agile processes in a fintech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers to develop and refine Product Requirements Documents - contributing the analytical depth and functional detail that bridges strategic intent with engineering-ready specification.
  • Own the quality and completeness of requirements before they reach the team.
  • Translate PRD requirements into well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge case documentation.
  • Ensure that what engineering builds matches what the product team intended - with nothing lost in translation.
  • Act as the Product Owner on assigned scrum teams — managing and prioritising the backlog, participating in sprint ceremonies, answering day-to-day clarifying questions from engineering, and making real-time scope decisions within the boundaries set by the PM.
  • Work closely with engineers, QA, designers, and operations to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
  • Identify gaps, surface ambiguities early, and resolve blockers that would otherwise slow delivery.
  • Own the integrity of the what-to-how translation. Requirements that reach engineering should be clear, complete, and testable — not a starting point for further interpretation.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in a Business Analyst or Product Owner role within an agile software development environment
  • Proven experience bridging the BA-to-PO function - you've written the stories and run the ceremonies
  • Strong requirements documentation skills - user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and edge case analysis
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, delivery-focused environment with competing priorities
  • Analytical mindset -you ask the right questions before writing a single requirement
  • Clear, precise communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS products; fintech or data-intensive platforms a plus
  • Experience with agile tooling - Jira, Confluence, or equivalent

Benefits

  • Flexible working arrangements - 3 days in office per week
  • Family-friendly policies
  • Charity initiatives and donation matching
