About the role

  • Logistics Manager overseeing supply chain logistics for beauty products. Managing transportation strategies and partnerships while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations across the supply chain, including inbound shipments from manufacturers and outbound deliveries to retail partners, distributors, and e-commerce customers.
  • Develop and manage the transportation and carrier strategy, including evaluating freight forwarders, parcel carriers, and specialty beauty logistics providers.
  • Partner with corporate supply chain to in carrier negotiations, contract management, and ongoing performance measurement to ensure cost-effective and reliable delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international shipping partners, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs), on-time delivery metrics, and quality standards specific to beauty products.
  • Monitor and optimize delivery speed, accuracy, and overall fulfillment performance to support premium customer experience expectations in the cosmetic category.
  • Partner closely with Finance to track, analyze, and forecast logistics and transportation costs; provide recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Develop, manage, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across transportation cost efficiency, carrier reliability, inventory flow, and damage/shrink prevention—critical for sensitive beauty SKUs.
  • Support inventory planning and replenishment initiatives by ensuring timely movement of goods between manufacturers, distribution centers, and retail channels.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to streamline logistics workflows, enhance packaging and shipping efficiencies for fragile cosmetic products, and scale the fulfillment network as the brand grows.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and customs requirements related to the import/export of cosmetic products, including documentation accuracy and product handling standards.
  • Stay current with global logistics regulations, tariffs, customs requirements, and trade compliance standards, ensuring all cross-border movements of cosmetic products meet the latest legal and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • 5–7+ years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience, ideally within the cosmetic, beauty, or CPG industry.
  • Strong understanding of global logistics operations, including international shipping, customs processes, HTS classification, tariffs, and evolving trade regulations.
  • Experience managing 3PLs, freight forwarders, parcel carriers, and distribution center operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts, manage carrier performance, and drive cost optimization across transportation networks.
  • Proficiency with logistics systems, WMS/TMS platforms, ERP tools, and carrier tracking integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, create forecasts, and present performance insights.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across Finance, Operations, Product, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of product handling requirements specific to cosmetics, including temperature control, breakage reduction, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
