About the role
- Vice President of Insurance and Reinsurance at Radian leading financial modeling and risk management. Collaborating with stakeholders to inform strategic business initiatives across the company.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate capital deployment opportunities across Radian’s insurance business
- Build and maintain comprehensive financial models to drive strategic decision-making across the Company
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and support key business initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate reinsurance structures for various insurance portfolios
- Monitor insurance and reinsurance market trends, pricing, and capacity to inform decision-making
- Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
- 10 years of prior work related experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced or specialized degree and/or certification preferred (MBA, CPCU, ARM)
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in insurance underwriting with exposure to multiple lines
- At least 5 years of experience in reinsurance placement, strategy, or management
- Proven track record of negotiating complex reinsurance contracts
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
- In-depth knowledge of insurance and reinsurance regulations and best practices.
