About the role

  • Managing and supporting Microsoft-based systems across on-premises and cloud environments at R3 LLC. Involved in infrastructure improvement and providing mentorship to junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to junior staff and peers.
  • Manage incident and problem resolution, including root cause analysis.
  • Handle hardware and software troubleshooting, end-user support, and ticket handling.
  • Manage and implement assigned project-based solutions, communicating progress to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and run books.
  • Assist in planning, installation, and support of client cloud systems infrastructure.
  • Support on-premises hardware and software and cloud-based devices and related software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to client infrastructure.
  • Participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend support as needed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience administering Microsoft Microsoft-based solutions and products: Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.
  • 2-3 years working as a Systems Administrator.
  • U.S. Citizen (Federal Client Requirement).
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology/security, Computer (Information) Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in systems administration with a focus on Microsoft and Cloud Technologies.
  • Preferred certifications: MCP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and standards (ITIL, ISO 20000-1, CMMI-SVCs) a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of tools like ConnectWise Automate, Hudu, Mimecast, Meraki, etc.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.).
