About the role

  • Senior Broadcast IT Engineer providing administration and support for QVC US broadcast IT infrastructure. Responsible for managing escalated incidents and ensuring optimal system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administration for the QVC US broadcast IT infrastructure and support end-users
  • Provide root cause analysis of escalated and complex incidents/problems related to our systems
  • Impart technical expertise of established standards to the team
  • Manage and optimize system performance of broadcast IT infrastructure to ensure 24x7x365 availability
  • Work with Broadcast Engineering Architects to determine requirements for new broadcast IT systems
  • Manage installations
  • Support the IT specific portions of all broadcast systems (video routers, audio mixers, cameras, intercom)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study is required
  • Equivalent work experience in a related field may considered
  • IT certification preferred (CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft, VMWare)
  • 6 - 8 years' experience working in a broadcasting IT multi-tiered environment, installing, monitoring and troubleshooting broadcast systems is required
  • Proficiency with CAD or other Broadcast Line drawing software
  • Experience maintaining a SMPTE-2110 Environment is preferred
  • Network administration experience is preferred
  • Experience in Windows Admin, Network Admin, DB Admin and server technologies preferred
