About the role
- Manage inbound transportation operations at Alpargatas, focusing on logistics efficiency and cost control while leading strategic process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and controlling inbound transportation flows, ensuring logistics efficiency, cost control and data governance, with a focus on planning, operational performance and productivity improvement.
- Will work analytically and strategically, supporting decision-making and leading initiatives to evolve processes and systems.
- Main responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and optimize inbound transportation operations with carriers, ensuring SLA compliance and productivity improvements
- Control logistics costs and perform freight audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Data governance and KPIs: manage and maintain databases, creating and monitoring performance, cost and service KPIs
- Prepare presentations and management reports using Power BI and PowerPoint to support decision-making
- Lead continuous improvement projects (AS-IS / TO-BE) focused on cost reduction, efficiency gains and process standardization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design workflows and procedures, and support the implementation and evolution of the TMS, ensuring integration between systems and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics or related fields
- Solid experience in Transportation operations and Supply Chain
- Experience in continuous improvement projects, process mapping and cost reduction
- Hands-on experience with SAP
- Experience with TMS (Transportation Management System)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
- Familiarity with continuous improvement and quality tools
- Ability to influence stakeholders and lead strategic discussions on processes and systems
- Analytical and structured profile, with strong communication skills, critical thinking and proactivity
- Nice to have:
- Experience in inbound operations — supporting manufacturing and raw material management
- Green Belt certification (Lean Six Sigma)
- Knowledge of data and analytics
- Experience with IT integrations and implementation of logistics systems
- Intermediate English – capable of delivering management presentations
