About the role
- Requirements Engineer analyzing and documenting specifications for electrolysis systems in a hybrid role at Quest One. Collaborating with teams and ensuring requirement traceability throughout development cycles.
Responsibilities
- Capture, analyze, and document requirements for process engineering plants at system, subsystem, and component levels
- Structure and maintain requirements throughout the entire product development process (PDP)
- Develop, implement, and provide training on company-wide processes and methods for requirements engineering
- Ensure traceability and consistency of requirements across the entire development lifecycle
- Support validation of requirements and create test plans to verify their correct implementation
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including engineering, product management, and quality
- Assist in selecting and implementing appropriate RE tools and ensuring their efficient use
- Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions for requirements definition with internal and external stakeholders
- Support reviews, risk analyses, and change processes as part of requirements management
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and product quality.
Requirements
- Degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field
- Proven experience in requirements engineering for complex technical systems
- Knowledge of systems engineering methods and process models such as the V-Model or MBSE
- Experience with RE tools such as IBM DOORS, Polarion, or Jama Connect
- Familiarity with the product development process (PDP)
- Structured and analytical working style
- Confident communication with diverse functional teams
- Experience creating and maintaining test plans to validate technical requirements
- Ability to establish, document, and embed RE processes sustainably within the company
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and verbal.
