About the role
- Accounting Specialist focusing on IFRS and processes in a global leader for PEM electrolysis. Responsible for financial reporting and stakeholder communication in hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop a robust and sustainable IFRS-focused accounting framework in accordance with group requirements.
- Responsible for the timely monthly transfer of financial results into the shareholder’s reporting and consolidation systems.
- Independently implement process changes and map these processes in the ERP system.
- Responsible for the IFRS–HGB reconciliation.
- Provide support to the accounting team as required.
- Contribute to the annual financial statements and liaise professionally with external auditors and the shareholder’s internal audit team.
- Act as the point of contact for tax-related matters under IFRS with the parent company.
- Handle ad-hoc requests and take on ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
- Degree in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance or a comparable qualification.
- Solid knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and good knowledge of HGB (German GAAP).
- Several years of professional experience in accounting or group accounting, ideally in an international environment.
- Confident user of ERP systems and experience in mapping and implementing financial processes.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial issues appropriately to different stakeholders (shareholder, external auditors, internal auditors, etc.).
- Analytical mindset and strong numerical affinity, combined with a precise, structured and independent working style.
- Team-oriented personality with a hands-on mentality and a high degree of reliability.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English.
