About the role

Team Leader driving development of complex distributed systems while leading a software engineering team at Qualco. Delivering scalable, high-performance solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Leading end-to-end system design and implementation phases of complex distributed systems using Java and .Net backends;
Define technical vision and architectural roadmaps, making high-level technical decisions that drive business value;
Design scalable, resilient solutions leveraging microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native patterns;
Drive technical innovation and evaluate emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage;
Developing frontend interfaces using Angular and React (Next.js) while mentoring junior team members;
Designing and implementing both in-house solutions and integrations to connect internal and third-party components;
Creating, exposing, and consuming APIs with a focus on scalability, security, and performance optimization;
Implementing and executing comprehensive automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests;
Mentor and develop developers and contributing to technical decision-making processes;
Lead cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and stakeholders;
Drive technical decision-making processes and establish development best practices;
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural principles;
Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

A University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, or related fields;
Relevant graduate studies will be considered a plus;
8+ years of experience in software engineering positions, including 3+ years in team leadership or technical lead positions;
Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and documenting REST APIs, as well as consuming third-party REST APIs;
Deep experience in working with various databases and ORMs, including performance optimization;
Strong hands-on experience with server-side programming and MVC frameworks;
Advanced knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms;
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment with a focus on DevOps best practices;
Deep understanding of event-driven architectures, message queues (e.g., Kafka), and microservices;
Expert-level knowledge of Java, Spring, and Quarkus Frameworks;
Experience with architectural patterns, system design, and technical documentation;
Strong knowledge in frontend development with Angular and React (Next.js);
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architecture patterns;
Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements;
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deliver complex projects on time;
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
