About the role

  • VP, Corporate Treasurer managing global treasury function and strategies at Quaker Houghton. Collaborating with finance leadership to optimize cash management and risk strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the CFO, the VP, Corporate Treasurer is an integral member of Quaker Houghton's Finance Leadership Team.
  • Responsible for leading Quaker Houghton's global treasury function in executing its financial strategies.
  • Develop and manage strategies, operations, and policies related to company-wide cash management, foreign exchange exposure, debt management, bank account management, derivative and hedging strategies, investment and pension related-matters, and all other treasury operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Treasury colleagues and foster a positive and proactive team-oriented environment.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive capital structure strategy, including oversight of corporate lenders, implementation of debt financing agreements, interest rate management, and debt compliance.
  • Recommend financing strategies and evaluate opportunities to reduce Company risk exposure and enhance financial benefits.
  • Oversight of treasury management systems and transaction processing, including systems implementation, bank account reporting, payments and disbursements, corporate purchasing card program, and comprehensive cash management efforts and cash flow forecasting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
  • Oversee the global banking structure, settlement of cash flows, and related controls and ensures compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Design and execute transactional FX exposure policy and procedure.
  • Monitor FX risk and identify opportunities to reduce risk.
  • Partner with the Controllership team in the preparation of required quarterly reporting to lenders.
  • Develop and implement strategic cashflow initiatives, along with VP Tax and Global Controller, in design and execution of tax, repatriation or entity recapitalization actions.
  • Assist the CFO in leading other capital allocation strategies, including M&A related activities, shareholder dividends, share buybacks and other related items.
  • Set investment, hedging, and other treasury related policies and procedures to mitigate global treasury risks in line with the Company’s strategy.
  • Evaluate opportunities and advise Company’s Pension and 401K Committee on its investments and asset allocations to align with Company strategy.
  • Lead Risk and Insurance process including: Lead global insurance and risk transfer strategy, overseeing renewal processes across all lines of coverage, directing exposure data compilation, and strengthening relationships with brokers and insurers to optimize program structure, cost, and performance.
  • Oversee risk management due diligence for acquisitions, evaluating target company insurance programs, identifying gaps and exposures, presenting executive-level analyses, and leading post-close integration of acquired entities into the Quaker Houghton insurance portfolio.
  • Provide oversight of claims management and financial governance, ensuring timely notice to insurers/captive, partnering with Legal and Operations on reserve and settlement strategies, and managing global premium allocation, budgeting, and invoice compliance.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Legal and business leaders, interpreting and negotiating insurance and risk terms in contracts and shaping enterprise policies to minimize organizational exposure and strengthen risk resilience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree (BS) in Finance or related degree.
  • Advanced degree and/or Certified Treasury Professional preferred.
  • 15+ years progressive professional experience, with at least 7 to 10 years experience in global treasury functions.
  • 5+ years of people management experience required.
  • Experience managing cash across multiple countries and legal entities.
  • Experience with mitigating FX exposure via hedges, terms or other mechanisms.
  • Experience and familiarity working with lenders and negotiating debt agreements.
  • Strong understanding of bank and lender markets.
  • Desire to partner with CEO, CFO, and external institutions to explore optimal long-term capital structure for growing business.
