Responsibilities
Support projects to deliver successful QKD systems by ensuring materials and components are fit for purpose
Work within engineering teams to help fail‑proof designs
Guide teams through challenges in procurement and MAIT (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration & Test) phases
Define and implement a tailored Product Assurance strategy for space technology maturation programs
Lead Product Assurance activities from concept and design through testing, including participation in verification and validation activities
Conduct audits, inspections, failure investigations, and reviews to ensure compliance with quality requirements
Support the definition and application of quality assurance processes for hardware components
Prepare and maintain Product Assurance documentation
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrialization Engineering or a related field
3–5+ years of experience in Product Assurance and/or Quality Assurance, ideally in the space or aerospace sector
Solid knowledge of ECSS and other aerospace Product Assurance standards
Knowledge of quality management standards, e.g., ISO 9001 or EN 9100, is a plus
Technical background in one or more PA disciplines – RAMS, MMPP, EEE, Software
Experience with processes and requirements and in managing quality aspects of technology demonstrator programs
Experience auditing or qualifying suppliers in the space or other high‑reliability industries
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage with customers, suppliers, space agencies, and internal teams
Comfortable taking on responsibility and ownership
Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
