About the role

  • Mine Planning Engineer responsible for developing underground mine designs and schedules for Evolution Mining. Collaborating with planning, scheduling, and underground operations teams for efficient execution.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, maintaining and optimising medium-term underground mine designs and schedules
  • Conceiving and producing detailed lateral and vertical development designs
  • Owning and producing area and level design notes
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to deliver designs aligned to the mine plan and schedule
  • Providing input into short-, medium- and long-term design and scheduling activities
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date design databases reflecting changes in priorities and plans

Requirements

  • Degree in Mine Engineer or similar
  • Underground mine planning experience
  • Experience across core mine planning activities
  • Mine planning software experience, with Deswik advantageous
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A team-focused approach with the ability to develop toward broader scheduling responsibilities
