About the role

  • Product Owner managing credit card product lifecycle for a fintech company. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape product vision and drive delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own and define the Credit Card product' vision and roadmap in partnership with key stakeholders, evaluating priorities and assessing ambiguous trade-offs, balancing customer, risk, compliance, operations, delivery timelines and commercial outcomes
  • Understand target customer personas and needs, and leverage this knowledge to define and guide the product development process with a hypothesis-based problem-solving mindset and translate outcomes into clear epics, features, and user stories
  • Manage and prioritise backlogs, plan sprints and lead engineering teams to advance user stories into production, ensuring deliverables meet high standards (clear acceptance criteria, definition of done, and release readiness)
  • Enable the use of data in products systematically, and use data to measure the success of product initiatives, and to inform product decisions and prioritisation (instrumentation, reporting, and post-release iteration)
  • Align with stakeholders to achieve buy-in and ensure that product scopes, decisions, prioritizations and timelines are well understood (including dependency management and transparent trade-offs)
  • Own and maintain a healthy, transparent delivery backlog and roadmap in Jira (& Jira Product Discovery)
  • Facilitate effective product delivery rituals (refinement, sprint planning, reviews) and ensure outcomes are captured in Jira/Confluence
  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery with cross-functional teams (Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Fraud, Customer Support, vendors/partners) to ensure credit card features are shippable and operationally ready
  • Contribute to AI-enabled initiatives (AI PM track) where applicable — helping frame problems, define success metrics, and ensure responsible rollout and monitoring

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a PO in high-growth digital / tech companies, leading digital products from inception to completion in an agile environment. Strong preference for experience in credit cards (debit cards / lending / payments also relevant)
  • Strong technical fluency to work effectively with Engineering (APIs, integrations, analytics/instrumentation). Computer engineering or related technical background a strong plus.
  • Strong product judgement and prioritisation skills, with a clear bias toward delivery and measurable outcomes
  • High discipline and quality bar: structured, detail-oriented, and dependable in execution and documentation
  • Capacity to navigate in ambiguous, agile, fast-paced and high-stress situations, managing challenging technical and business stakeholders with strong influencing skills
  • Highly skilled in the "craft" of product development, with a passion for innovative customer experiences, digital products, and the latest digital trends
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail, with an entrepreneurial, highly practical but curious mindset, and a street-smart "feel" for the pulse of the target consumer
  • Track record of leadership and achievement
  • Related certifications and delivery experience in Scrum, Agile a plus
  • Strong hands-on experience with Jira; Jira Product Discovery and the Atlassian suite preferred
  • AI/ML exposure is a plus: experience shipping AI-enabled features or partnering with data/ML teams (problem framing, evaluation metrics, monitoring, governance)
