About the role
- Head of Procurement and Supply Chain for px Group managing engineering services and energy management solutions. Delivering operational leadership for high hazard COMAH / SEVESO assets in UK and Norway.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist support to the asset teams across UK and Norway, ensuring value optimisation, excellence in contract management and compliance across both UK and Norwegian regulatory regimes.
- Build and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies across the NSMP portfolio
- Build and implement excellence in contract management practices, shape a collaborative team within supply chain, working closely with the assets to optimise contractor performance and compliance.
- Provide expertise to support dispute resolution, seeking to manage outcomes and deliver results all parties can support.
- Setting the procurement and supply chain strategy across NSMP’s UK and Norway assets, ensuring security of supply for hydrocarbon gas, NGLs, and LNG while driving cost efficiency and compliance.
- Development and implementation of a long-term procurement strategy for the NSMP portfolio. Including conducting spend analysis and implementing category management for major spend categories leveraging the combined volume and spend of NSMP and the wider px Group to negotiate better terms and achieve cost savings.
- Overseeing day-to-day procurement operations across all sites. Including managing the px end-to-end procurement process from requisition to purchase order and delivery within the NSMP portfolio, ensuring efficient, compliant procurement at each site.
- Drive excellence in contract lifecycle management – from strategy, tendering, and negotiation through contract execution, performance monitoring, and renewal/close-out.
Requirements
- Experience in senior role within O&G or process industry sectors
- GSCE’s A-C grades including Maths & English or equivalent level qualifications
- Qualified or working towards CIPS or relevant industry experience
- Experience of managing high value ITTs and contract implementation and leading and guiding others
- Extensive contract and procurement experience, knowledge of terms and conditions & advising on forms of contract
- Background in developing and managing the contracts process
