About the role
- Mechanical Engineer designing, developing, and optimizing subsea nodes at PXGEO. Collaborating with engineers to enhance performance and reliability in underwater conditions.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze mechanical components for subsea nodes, ensuring robustness, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and systems engineers to integrate mechanical designs into complete node systems.
- Conduct simulations and testing to validate mechanical performance under extreme underwater conditions.
- Support prototyping and field trials, including hands-on assembly and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of node design for enhanced durability, ease of deployment, and cost-efficiency.
- Help to facilitate and support the transition between design, manufacturing and support
- Document designs and processes in accordance with industry standards and internal quality systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in marine, aerospace or automotive
- Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM and participation in the full product lifecycle.
- Familiarity with subsea systems, pressure vessels, risk analysis and design to cost, quality and for manufacturability is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
