About the role

  • Mechanical Engineer designing, developing, and optimizing subsea nodes at PXGEO. Collaborating with engineers to enhance performance and reliability in underwater conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze mechanical components for subsea nodes, ensuring robustness, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and systems engineers to integrate mechanical designs into complete node systems.
  • Conduct simulations and testing to validate mechanical performance under extreme underwater conditions.
  • Support prototyping and field trials, including hands-on assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of node design for enhanced durability, ease of deployment, and cost-efficiency.
  • Help to facilitate and support the transition between design, manufacturing and support
  • Document designs and processes in accordance with industry standards and internal quality systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in marine, aerospace or automotive
  • Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM and participation in the full product lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with subsea systems, pressure vessels, risk analysis and design to cost, quality and for manufacturability is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
