Engineer designing and executing cable testing in offshore and onshore environments for Prysmian. Collaborating with multiple departments and managing technical documentation for projects.
Responsibilities
Engineering and execution of technical tasks relevant to design of cable testing onshore and offshore.
Preparation of all relevant technical documentation such as: description of procedures to execute the work, drawings, technical specification to define the work of subcontractors etc.
Site activities of localization of faults in case of malfunctions of cables and the execution of electrical tests on site during/at the end of a cable installation and the preparation of all relevant technical reports.
Design and execution of electrical test during cable installation and at commissioning stage.
Design and execution of fault location activities on power cables.
Work in collaboration with other departments of Prysmian such as Purchasing department, System Design and Project Management.
Work frequently on site for moderate periods during the execution of site activities in case of testing or fault location activity.
Direct interface with Prysmian Clients and Subcontractors on technical matters.
Give support and inputs both during tender stage to the proposal engineers and also during the execution phase to the colleagues from different departments working on site.
Requirements
Fluent in English
A master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or similar Degrees.
Preferably previous work experience of 1 years within offshore or technical environment or interest in the sector
Availability to travel frequently for moderate period of time and on short notice
Genuine interest in technical matters, curiosity, hands-on approach.
Good communication skills and relationship approach with Clients
Capability to work in teams
