About the role

  • System Engineer specializing in Functional Safety for international clients in automotive and aerospace sectors. Responsible for defining safety plans and managing safety verification methods.

Responsibilities

  • Define safety plans for functional safety
  • Conduct FHA, FTA and FMEA
  • Define safety requirements at various system levels
  • Develop system architecture and implement design changes
  • Manage a hazard tracking system
  • Define and assess safety-related verification methods
  • Incorporate functional safety considerations into test specifications and procedures
  • Compile safety evidence into Safety Case Reports

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, physics, computer science, aerospace engineering, or equivalent
  • Professional experience in functional safety (FHA, SSA, SSPP, FMEA) in aerospace, nuclear, rail, or automotive industries is required
  • Good knowledge of relevant standards, e.g., IEC 61508, MIL-STD-882E
  • Experience in requirements engineering — ideally with IBM DOORS
  • Analytical skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary and multinational teams, strong communication and coordination skills
  • Excellent German and good English language skills.
