- Define safety plans for functional safety
- Conduct FHA, FTA and FMEA
- Define safety requirements at various system levels
- Develop system architecture and implement design changes
- Manage a hazard tracking system
- Define and assess safety-related verification methods
- Incorporate functional safety considerations into test specifications and procedures
- Compile safety evidence into Safety Case Reports
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, physics, computer science, aerospace engineering, or equivalent
- Professional experience in functional safety (FHA, SSA, SSPP, FMEA) in aerospace, nuclear, rail, or automotive industries is required
- Good knowledge of relevant standards, e.g., IEC 61508, MIL-STD-882E
- Experience in requirements engineering — ideally with IBM DOORS
- Analytical skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary and multinational teams, strong communication and coordination skills
- Excellent German and good English language skills.
